Blog Four !
I really enjoyed reading other people's blogs. It also made me realize that I have not been nearly as computer savoy as most of my classmates. Opps! I feel like a have been doing pretty well with the content I have been putting into my blogs. Most of the blogs I read were strong willed and very opinionated. I think I would definitely enjoy using blogging with my students. I don't think it is something I would just let them loose to do by themselves. It definitely takes a lot of playing around with and experimenting. Also I feel like it would be something that needed to be done step by step.

In my opinion I feel that technology is being used at too young of an age. Yes, I think it is a great way of learning but certain technological devices such as cell phones are being used by generations that are too young. I did not have a cell phone until I was sixteen and the only reason I was given one is because my parents did not want me driving without having a way to contact them in case of an emergency. Cell phones lead to texting which then leads to lack of person to person communication effecting ones conversational skills. On the other hand some types of technology are great for learning such as educational video and computer games. This can make learning fun and brighten the future of young children's lives. I guess I would have to say I am on the fence about the issue. Certain types of technology can be beneficial but I am against children having phones until they are of age to be driving.

Problem based learning is not for everyone. Each person is unique in their own way, and they have their own unique ways of learning. For some students having a problem to solve will teach them so much more than say sitting in on a lecture. Everyone's learning styles are different, I personally learn more from being hands on, lectures do nothing for me due to a mix of short attention span and selective hearing! Some professors choose to lecture over problem based solving. Maybe it is a matter of the material they are teaching, some things are hard to make PBL than others. Or maybe the professor feels lecturing is the most effective way to learn. I really enjoyed the problem base learning we did in class. I think that learning through experience can be the best way of learning, even if it's a rough lesson.
Blog Number One
Personally I do not have very much experience with blogging. The farthest I have ever gone with it is having my own facebook and twitter account. I rarely use twitter but I am on facebook every single day writing people back on the comments they left me. I think having pictures up of yourself and your friends can be a fun thing but it can also get you into trouble. Blogging should be about staying updated on the lives of friends and family and being able to communicate and show others your pictures and view theirs as well. Sometimes blogs tend to bring out the worst in people by revealing inappropriate pictures or comments or even private information about someone. As long as it is used in an appropriate way blogging is great! I like being behind a blog because I can state my own opinions and express myself. I also enjoy getting feedback and seeing what others have to say.
